Color: Dark Gold. Non chill-filtered and no color added. You can see the sherry casks in this one! I didn't get a photo of the bottle I had, but the photo I picked is a good representation of the color in the glass.

Pour: Neat in a Glencairn, rested for 20 minutes. Later added 15 drops of purified water.

Nose: Hits with a punch! Acetone, red fruits, tart and pungent. Sherry, citrus, spice, and Christmas cake all roll together with almond and summer barbecue to make for a truly unique nose.

Taste: Funky, industrial, tannic, tangy, sherried fruit. Menthol, raisins, smoke, green apple & strawberry tartness. This one starts with an explosion of flavor and dries out the sides of the tongue like a dry wine. Unmistakably Springbank.

Finish: Lighter than expected, but long! Peppery & malty coastal flavors increase while the fruitiness fades, funk stays front and center. Leaves a drying, astringent feeling on the sides of the tongue, which sounds bad, but I mean it in the best way. Fades to pleasant pepper & smoke. My wife and I agreed that the finish tastes like breathing in at the seaside.
