Laphroaig 10 Year Old

Details

Distiller: Laphroaig
ABV: 43%
Age: 10
Paid: $45.00

Tasting Notes

Nose: Peat before all! After peat comes bourbon, vanilla, oak, campfire smoke, and seaside brine.

Taste: Peat, black pepper, chilis, smoke, sea air, salt water, and a hint of bourbon vanilla sweetness.

Finish: Long, developing, and peppery. Wispy smoke trailing off into sea air.

Conclusion

What can I say about Laphroaig 10 year old that hasn't already been said? For many, this is the first venture into the world of peat, and it's an absolute classic. My gateway was Ardbeg 10, but I still have a place on my shelf for this bottle. If you're on the fence, just buy it.
